  • The Energy Revolution Under Extreme Cold: Surge in Demand for Ultra-Low Temp LFP Cylindrical Cells in Europe, Nordic & Russia
As residential electricity prices in Europe exceed €0.4/kWh and winter temperatures in Nordic regions and Russia plummet to -40℃~ - 50℃, an energy transformation driven by high electricity prices + extreme cold is sweeping across northern Eurasia. Conventional lithium batteries “fail in cold weather”, while ultra-low temperature LiFePO4 (LFP) cylindrical cells—with -50℃ extreme cold resistance, high safety, and long cycle life—have become a must-have “lifesaving power” for residential energy storage, electric vehicles, and industrial special applications. Market demand is surging at over 200% growth, creating a golden overseas high-end blue ocean for Chinese lithium battery manufacturers. 1. High Electricity Prices: The Catalyst for Energy Storage Demand In 2026, Europe’s energy market remains trapped in a “high-price crisis”. Geopolitical conflicts and natural gas price spikes have pushed electricity rates to historic highs. Germany: Residential electricity reaches €0.38–€0.48/kWh; average monthly household electricity bills soar to €250+. Nordic (Norway / Sweden / Finland): Electricity prices rank among the world’s highest at €0.45–€0.55/kWh, with peak-valley spreads exceeding €0.4/kWh. Italy, Belgium, Poland: Industrial electricity costs surge 30%–50%. Under high electricity prices, “PV + energy storage” has become the most economical solution: Annual savings: €3,000–€5,000 per household Payback period: only 1.5–2 years In Q1 2026, European residential energy storage installations increased by 127% YoY, Nordic regions 189% YoY, with over 95% using LFP batteries. 2. Extreme Cold: Conventional Batteries Fail, Ultra-Low Temp LFP Is the Only Solution The frigid climate of Northern Europe and Russia is a “death zone” for standard lithium batteries. Nordic: Winter avg. -15℃ ~ -25℃, extreme -40℃.Standard LFP retains only 50% capacity at -20℃ and cannot charge below -30℃. Russia: Siberia & Far East: -40℃ ~ -50℃ for 6 months.Standard batteries completely fail. Central Europe (Germany, Poland): Winter -10℃ ~ -18℃, capacity drops 40%–60%. Ultra-low temperature LFP cylindrical cells (mainly 26650 / 26700) achieve: Discharge: -50℃ usable Charge: -30℃ safe Capacity retention ≥80% at -40℃ This solves the core pain point of energy storage in extreme cold. 3. • The difference between solid-state batteries and lithium batteries
Currently, most electric vehicles and energy storage systems use lithium-ion batteries. Although they have high energy density and fast charging speeds, they also have safety and other issues. Therefore, the industry is actively developing solid-state batteries, hoping they can replace traditional lithium-ion batteries. So, what are the differences between solid-state batteries and lithium batteries? 1. What is a solid-state battery? A solid-state battery is a battery technology. Unlike the widely used lithium-ion batteries and lithium-ion polymer batteries today, solid-state batteries use solid electrodes and solid electrolytes. 2. What is a lithium battery? A lithium battery is a battery that uses lithium metal or lithium alloy as the positive and negative electrode materials and a non-aqueous electrolyte solution. In 1912, Gilbert N. Lewis first proposed and studied lithium metal batteries. In the 1970s, MS Whittingham proposed and began researching lithium-ion batteries. Due to the highly reactive chemical nature of lithium metal, the processing, storage, and use of lithium metal require very high environmental standards. With the development of science and technology, lithium batteries have become mainstream. 3. Differences between solid-state batteries and lithium batteries Lithium-ion batteries use liquid electrolytes, which have issues with weight, safety, and lifespan. The main difference between solid-state batteries and lithium-ion batteries lies in the electrolyte. The electrolyte in lithium-ion batteries is liquid, existing in gel or polymer form, making it difficult to reduce the battery's weight. In addition, a single lithium battery pack does not have high energy, so multiple battery packs must be connected in series, further increasing the weight. The cost of engineering, manufacturing, and installing battery packs accounts for a large proportion of the overall cost of electric vehicles. Besides the weight issue, the electrolyte is also flammable, unstable at high temperatures, and has thermal runaway problems. In the event of a car accident, it may cause serious fires. The electrolyte can also freeze at low temperatures, reducing the battery's range. Moreover, the electrolyte corrodes the internal components of the battery, and the charging and discharging process generates dendrites, which reduce the battery's capacity, performance, and lifespan. Solid-state batteries have solid electrolytes and high energy density. Inside solid-state batteries, there are no heavy liquid electrolytes; instead, the electrolyte is in the form of glass, ceramics, or other solid materials. The overall structure of solid-state batteries is similar to traditional lithium-ion batteries, and the charging and discharging methods are largely the same. However, because there is no liquid, the battery's interior is more compact, the volume is smaller, and the energy density is increased. If the lithium-ion batteries inside an electric vehicle are replaced with solid-state batteries of the same volume, the battery capacity can theoretically be increased by more than twice. Moreover, solid-state lithium batteries are lighter and do not require the monitoring, cooling, and thermal insulation systems needed by lithium-ion batteries, freeing up more space in the chassis for batteries and greatly increasing the electric vehicle's range. Additionally, solid-state batteries charge faster than lithium-ion batteries, have no corrosion issues, and have a longer lifespan. Regarding operating temperature, solid-state batteries have thermal stability and do not freeze at low temperatures, which ensures the range of electric vehicles for users living in mid to high latitudes. Finally, integrating solid-state batteries into electric vehicles also offers features such as compact structure, scalable size, and great design flexibility, which is beneficial for whole vehicle integration. This concludes the introduction of the differences between solid-state batteries and lithium batteries. Through the above introduction, it is believed that everyone now understands the differences between solid-state batteries and lithium batteries!

  • Emergency Light Frequently Asked Questions
Emergency lighting is widely installed in the corridors and fire safety doors of public places and is a professional equipment for fire safety. Many emergency lights on the market are manufactured by the fire safety department of the fire safety department. This department has various functions, but most of them are for reducing risks. When the emergency light is cut off, it will automatically turn on and off when there is an incoming power. It is used as a backup lighting device. The battery is equipped with a battery, providing power when the power is off and charging the battery when the power is on. So, what height should emergency lighting be installed at? 1. The battery charging fails because rechargeable batteries are often in a shallow positive charge and shallow charge state, with insufficient battery power or failure, and need to replace the battery. When the battery charging power circuit Q2 charges the battery, the current is quite large and is prone to being damaged. 2. If there is no AC power supply, the main power indicator light d14 does not light up. A common fault is the long-term connection of the transformer. What are the requirements for the position of emergency lighting? 1. It and the safety evacuation indicator lights need two power sources: normal power and emergency backup power. The emergency backup power is usually self-powered and battery-powered. When using the battery, the continuous power supply time should not be less than 200 minutes. 2. Emergency lighting and safety lights' indicator lights should be at least 0.5 lx to fully illuminate the sidewalks, stairs and other evacuation routes. Fire control rooms, fire pump rooms, independent power plants and components still needed to be kept in the fire should provide general lighting. 3. Safety evacuation signs should be located at the top of the emergency exit or at the corner of the escape passage wall and 1m below, and the distance between the signs should not exceed 20m. Emergency lighting and safety evacuation lights should be equipped with protective covers made of glass and other non-combustible materials. 4. Fire escape emergency lights should be located on the walls or ceilings. Emergency lighting is located on both sides of the fire passage or exit, 2.2m from the stairs or the top of the stairs. Long evacuation routes should follow the fire. According to department instructions or the actual usage site of emergency lighting intensity, increase the density of lamps and install them reasonably. 5. The installation distance of emergency evacuation indicators or emergency exit indicators should not exceed 20m. The installation specifications, installation height and lamp density of fire exit indicators should comply with the actual installation environment and the actual installation and use of emergency lights. These are the heights at which emergency lighting should be installed. It is an important safety facility for modern public buildings and industrial buildings, closely related to personal safety and building safety. When a building has a fire or other disasters and the power is interrupted, it plays an important role in personnel evacuation, fire rescue work, the continued operation of important production and work, or necessary operation and disposal.

  • Ronda Research and development of solid-state batteries
The competition between semi-solid and all-solid battery routes is essentially a choice of industrial priorities: semi-solid batteries, with their practicality, reduce the risk of change and are suitable for the current Chinese market. All-solid-state batteries anchor the future with performance, aligning with the technological breakthrough strategies of Japanese and South Korean battery manufacturers   The large-scale commercialization of solid-state batteries in China still faces technical bottlenecks such as high interface impedance and high costs. It requires a dual-wheel drive of "technological breakthroughs + industrial ecosystem strength" to transform laboratory advantages into market discourse power   By Qu Haoyuan   Solid-state batteries, as the core technology direction of the next-generation lithium batteries, compared with liquid lithium batteries, can offer greater energy density, significantly enhance endurance, notably improve safety, prevent liquid electrolyte leakage, and reduce the risk of thermal runaway. At the same time, they have a wider operating temperature range and more outstanding adaptability in extreme environments. It has broad application prospects in fields such as new energy vehicles, low-altitude economy and consumer electronics.   At present, the large-scale application of solid-state batteries still needs to solve several problems, mainly including material technology bottlenecks, engineering mass production bottlenecks, and high costs.   The industrialization breakthrough of solid-state batteries requires multi-dimensional collaboration. First, it is necessary to enhance policy support and guidance, driving the industrialization of solid-state batteries through the formulation of industry standards, financial subsidies, and research and development support. Second, battery and material manufacturers should accelerate material and process innovation. On the one hand, the material end needs to break through technical bottlenecks through material system innovation and interface optimization. On the other hand, the manufacturing process and equipment end need to be innovated and upgraded, and at the same time, the manufacturing process needs to be optimized to improve yield and production efficiency. Third, expand application scenarios to promote cost reduction and large-scale implementation. Accelerate the early expansion of application scenarios such as robots and eVTOL, promote large-scale cost reduction of solid-state batteries, and then accelerate the commercial application in the field of new energy vehicles.   Both semi-solid and all-solid lines run in parallel   In terms of technical routes, the mainstream solid electrolyte materials include four major categories: sulfides, halides, oxides, and polymer electrolytes. Different solid electrolytes have their own advantages and disadvantages, and the industry is still exploring the most suitable technical route for the mass production of solid-state batteries.   Specifically, polymers have good wettability and processing performance, but poor oxidation resistance, low electrical conductivity, and poor intrinsic safety. They can be complexed with lithium salts to improve electrical conductivity or used as the framework or solid-solid interface transition layer of granular inorganic solid electrolytes. Oxides have good intrinsic safety, relatively good chemical stability, and relatively low manufacturing costs, but they have poor processing performance, low electrical conductivity, and a narrow electrochemical window. In practical applications, they can be used as the core electrolyte layer of semi-solid batteries. Sulfides have high room-temperature electrical conductivity and good mechanical processing performance, but they have poor chemical stability and high manufacturing costs. Currently, they are mostly used as core electrolyte layers in the development of all-solid-state battery solutions. The ionic conductivity of halides can also meet the application requirements, and they have relatively low costs, good flexibility, and a wide electrochemical window. Currently, they are mostly used as cathode coating materials for solid-state batteries.   From the current perspective of technical route selection, the mainstream layout route for all-solid-state batteries is sulfide and halide composite electrolytes, which have relatively high ionic conductivity and other properties. However, issues such as poor chemical stability and high cost make their large-scale application rather difficult. Semi-solid batteries mostly use oxide and polymer composite electrolytes, which are relatively low in cost and easy to be industrialized, but have a lower upper limit of performance.   In addition, in terms of battery forms, semi-solid batteries and all-solid batteries are currently operating in parallel. Some viewpoints hold that semi-solid batteries are transitional products. Some viewpoints hold that semi-solid batteries are not a transitional route but an independent one, as their design goal is not to serve all-solid batteries but to directly meet the demands of downstream power and energy storage customers.   The competition between semi-solid and all-solid battery routes is essentially a choice of industrial priorities: semi-solid batteries, with their practicality, reduce the risk of change and are suitable for the current Chinese market. All-solid-state technology anchors the future with its performance ceiling, aligning with the technological breakthrough strategies of some battery manufacturers.   For enterprises related to the industrial chain, it is necessary to balance resource investment between the commercialization of semi-solid batteries in the short term and the ultimate goal of all-solid-state batteries in the long term. Taking semi-solid batteries as the vanguard, they should also make strategic reserves for all-solid-state batteries to fully achieve technological and mass production breakthroughs.   There are still difficulties in industrialization   The main challenges faced by the large-scale industrialization of all-solid-state batteries lie in factors such as material performance and interface contact issues, complex manufacturing processes, and an incomplete industrial chain, which lead to high costs.   From the perspective of materials, all-solid-state batteries still face many challenges in terms of material technology such as electrolytes, cathodes, and anodes, as well as in solid-solid interface contact.   In terms of electrolytes, sulfide electrolytes are the mainstream electrolyte technology route for all-solid-state batteries. This is due to their high room-temperature ionic conductivity, which is close to that of liquid electrolytes, and their excellent mechanical processing performance. However, its poor chemical stability and high cost make its large-scale application rather difficult.   Taking the crude powder electrolyte system of LiPSCl as an example, its main raw materials include lithium sulfide, phosphorus pentasulfide and lithium chloride. Among them, the mass proportion of lithium sulfide in the raw materials is over 30%, and its proportion in the cost structure is as high as 82%. The current production cost of lithium sulfide is relatively high, with a market price ranging from 2 to 3 million yuan per ton. This is mainly due to the unstable chemical properties of lithium sulfide, which readily reacts with water and oxygen in the air. Li2S undergoes hydrolysis to form LiHS and LiOH, and further hydrolysis generates the toxic gas H2S, posing a significant production safety risk. Regarding the production environment and storage and transportation conditions
